The Brunei Ministry of Health has recently announced the launch of several new features on the BruHealth application following its update.

The tech giant announced a new AI-enabled chest X-ray offering, an all-inclusive dermatology dataset, expanded partnerships and personal health LLMs for Fitbit.

Its national research institute has built a chatbot based on Meta's LLM which can answer doctors' questions with up to 95% accuracy.

Also, Vuno is expanding its international sales network with global X-ray supplier Sedecal. 

The health tech company announced the seed funding will help scale its suite of SaaS products within the healthcare ecosystem.

Experts emphasized the value of proactive approaches, meaningful interactions and seamless connections to human support while using AI-enabled chatbots in healthcare.

Local players are also expected to scale at an international level.

Experts discussed new emergency department models using telemedicine to build trust in virtual healthcare environments and public-private sector collaboration.  

Disability-care focused Kismet recently raised $8 million in seed funding in the United States.

Various factors around ROI on virtual tech should be considered before implementation, such as billing revenue, increased efficiency, downstream revenue and improved outcomes, said experts at the HIMSS24 preconference Virtual Care Forum.
